Renowned American gospel singer and worship leader Ron Kenoly has died at the age of 81. His death was confirmed on Tuesday by his longtime music director, Bruno Miranda, in a statement shared on Kenoly’s official Instagram page, which said he passed away on February 3, 2026. The cause of death was not disclosed.
Miranda described Kenoly as a mentor and spiritual father, noting his deep commitment to worship ministry rather than performance. He said Kenoly consistently taught that worship was about leading people into reverence for God, both on and off the stage, and lived by the values he preached throughout his life and career.
