US President Trump to Host Board of Peace Meeting at White House

US President Donald Trump is set to host the first meeting of a newly established Board of Peace in Washington, with participation from more than 20 countries. According to US White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt, the meeting will focus on reconstruction and humanitarian support for the Gaza Strip following years of conflict, the White House has said.

Officials said member states have pledged over five billion dollars in aid toward reconstruction and stabilisation efforts in Gaza. The meeting will include discussions on how funds will be allocated and how an international stabilisation force might support security in the territory. Trump will chair the session, and representatives from several regional and international partners are expected to attend.

The Board of Peace initiative was launched earlier this year during the World Economic Forum in Davos and aims to coordinate global efforts for post-conflict recovery. Some traditional Western allies are participating, while others are expected to attend as observers. The event marks an effort to bring together donors and stakeholders around a reconstruction plan for Gaza.
