Nigerian content creator Kevin Blak has said he declined an alleged invitation to join President Bola Tinubu’s re-election campaign. The skit maker, whose real name is Kevin Chinedu Arua, shared the development in a video posted to his Instagram page on Tuesday, in which he read a direct message he claimed to have received urging him to support the president.
Blak, who has more than 450,000 Instagram followers, said his work focuses on critiquing governance rather than supporting any political party. He described the invitation as “disturbing” and reaffirmed his commitment to producing content that addresses broader issues of good governance.
The comedian, also known as Governor Amuneke, explained that his creative mission extends beyond Nigeria, aiming to promote accountability and good governance across Africa. He said his content is not tied to any election cycle or political leader, and will continue regardless of changes in government.

Blak added that his platform is intended to educate and inform the public, stating that his commentary will continue to highlight social and political issues even after President Tinubu’s tenure ends.
