The Nigeria Football Federation has assured that Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle will see out his contract, Technical Committee Chairman Sherif Inuwa Ahlan has said. Chelle, a former Malian centre-back, has around nine months remaining on his current deal with the NFF.
Reports had suggested interest from several countries and clubs following Chelle’s guidance of the Super Eagles to third place at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations. Ahlan said there is no reason for concern and that the coach will honour his contract.
The Super Eagles are set to return to action next month in a four-nation invitational tournament in Amman, Jordan. They will face the host nation, Jordan, as well as Iran in the competition.
