Hollywood Actor Robert Carradine Dies at 71

American actor Robert Carradine, best known for his role as Lewis Skolnick in ‘Revenge of the Nerds’, has died at the age of 71. His brother Keith confirmed he took his own life following a nearly two-decade struggle with bipolar disorder.

The family described Carradine as a gifted, funny, and wise individual and asked for privacy while grieving. Keith said they hope his experience helps reduce the stigma surrounding mental illness.

Carradine was the youngest son of actor John Carradine and brother to actors David and Keith Carradine. He made his film debut in 1972 with ‘The Cowboys’ and had a decades-long career in movies and television, alongside a passion for motorsports.
