Hypo Warns Public After Viral Suicide Prank Trend

The makers of Hypo Bleach have warned Nigerians that the product is strictly for cleaning and not for consumption. The advisory follows a controversial stunt by influencer Michelle Mukoro, popularly known as King Mitchy, who staged a suicide prank during a TikTok livestream.

The prank came after an online dispute between Mitchy and fellow influencer Vincent Otse, known as Very Dark Man. During the heated exchange, Mitchy appeared on a live video claiming to have consumed the cleaning product. Her management initially announced that she had died, but later retracted the statement, saying she was alive and well. A hospital mentioned in the report also denied treating her.

The incident has since sparked a dangerous online trend, with some young Nigerians posting videos and images pretending to drink the product.
