IGP Disu promises operational bases in Kwara

IGP Disu promises operational bases in Kwara

The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Olatunji Disu has vowed that security agencies will reclaim communities in Kwara State affected by banditry. He said ongoing operations will intensify to flush out criminal groups and restore peace in the affected areas. 

The police chief assured residents that security forces are working closely with other agencies and local stakeholders to tackle the threat. He stressed that the police remain committed to protecting lives and property across the state.

He noted that bandit attacks in some communities have forced residents to live in fear and disrupted normal activities. However, he said security agencies are determined to confront the criminals and ensure that displaced residents can safely return to their homes.

The IGP also called on members of the public to support security efforts by providing credible information that could help track down the bandits and prevent further attacks.
