Senegal’s Football Federation says it will appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport after the Confederation of African Football stripped the country of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations title.
CAF’s Appeals Board ruled on Tuesday that Senegal forfeited the final against Morocco after players walked off the pitch in protest of a refereeing decision. The board said the action breached Articles 82 and 84 of the tournament regulations.
The ruling overturns an earlier decision by CAF’s Disciplinary Committee, which had dismissed Morocco’s challenge to the match outcome and initially upheld Senegal’s victory.

In a statement, the Senegalese Football Federation described the decision as unfair and said it would file an appeal in Lausanne to defend its position and the interests of its national team.
