Veteran Nollywood actress Ireti Doyle has explained why she kept her separation from Patrick Doyle out of the public eye. Speaking on The Morayo Show, she said the decision was intentional and based on her belief that personal relationships should remain private.
The actress, who confirmed the end of the marriage in 2023, said only close family and friends deserve explanations when a relationship ends. She stressed that the public has no stake in such matters and warned against turning personal struggles into online content.
Doyle also spoke about the emotional toll of divorce, describing it as painful and often filled with self-reflection and doubt. She advised people going through similar situations to focus on personal growth rather than seeking validation from the public.

She added that her children were a major factor in her decision, noting that the separation was difficult for them at first. Despite the challenges, she said she remained committed to her responsibilities as a mother and emphasised that children should not suffer because of issues between parents.
