NFVCB Launches Training Programme to Boost Nollywood Skills

The National Film and Video Censors Board (NFVCB) has launched a capacity-building programme aimed at improving skills and professionalism in Nigeria’s film industry.

The initiative was announced by the Director-General of the NFVCB, Shaibu Husseini, at the opening ceremony of the programme. He was represented by the board’s Lagos Zonal Officer, Danlami Pau.

Pau said the training will equip filmmakers, producers, directors and other practitioners with updated regulatory knowledge, production standards and global best practices. He added that it will also cover content development, classification guidelines and modern distribution methods.

Stakeholders, including the Chairman of Odi-Olowo/Ojuwoye LCDA, Seyi Jakande, and the Chief Executive Officer of the Best of Nollywood Awards, Seun Oloketuyi, commended the initiative, saying it would help build sustainable careers in the creative sector.
