The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has reduced its ex-gantry price for premium motor spirit, commonly known as petrol, by N75 naira to N1,200 per litre. The price adjustment was announced by the company in a statement released on Thursday.
According to the refinery, the price cut is part of its broader strategy to make petroleum products more affordable for Nigerians. This development comes as the facility continues to ramp up production and expand its distribution network across the country.
The Dangote refinery, which has a capacity of 650,000 barrels per day, has been playing an increasingly pivotal role in the nation’s energy security. Marketers are expected to adjust their prices accordingly following this new ex-gantry rate.
The company has urged marketers to ensure that the benefits of this price reduction are passed on to the end consumers. This move is the latest in a series of price adjustments by the refinery since it began supplying the domestic market.
