The organisers of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards have released the full list of nominees for the 12th edition of the ceremony, with Gingerrr and The Herd leading the pack with nine nominations each.
The nominations were announced on Sunday during a live broadcast across Africa Magic channels, hosted by actor Chimezie Imo, with To Kill A Monkey following closely with eight nominations and My Father’s Shadow with seven.
The organisers say the list reflects a strong year for African film and television, with recognition across acting, directing, writing and technical categories, including nominations for Sola Sobowale, Uzor Arukwe and Genoveva Umeh.

Voting for public categories opened on March 29 via the official AMVCA website, while the awards ceremony is scheduled for May 9, 2026.
