Actress and filmmaker Iyabo Ojo has spoken about the recent tension between her colleagues Funke Akindele and Toyin Abraham at the premiere of her film, The Return of Arinzo. A video showing Akindele snubbing Abraham at the event in Lagos went viral and sparked debates on social media.
Ojo said she tried to reconcile the two actresses but was unsuccessful. She revealed that she had mediated between them previously and encouraged both to handle disagreements privately. The renewed tension reportedly began after complaints over Abraham’s film and online accusations.
The actress stressed that she will no longer intervene in their feud. She urged the public to respect her decision and said both stars will make peace when they are ready. Ojo also expressed sadness over the conflict, noting there is enough space in the industry for both to succeed.

Ojo added that Abraham was initially planned to star in ‘The Return of Arinzo’ but had to pull out due to travel and exhaustion. Despite the setback, Ojo said the film will premiere in cinemas nationwide on April 3.
