President Bola Tinubu has shifted his focus from economic projects to security concerns following violent attacks in Plateau State. His planned trip to inaugurate the Gateway International Cargo Airport in Ogun State has been postponed.
The president will travel to Jos on Thursday to console residents and meet state officials after gun attacks in Angwan Rukuba killed civilians. The visit highlights the federal government’s urgent response to rising insecurity in the region.
After Jos, Tinubu will return to Lagos to observe the Good Friday holiday. He is scheduled to resume his economic engagements on Saturday, commissioning the cargo airport and new commercial aircraft designed to boost trade in Ogun State.
