The Federal High Court in Abuja has convicted and sentenced four individuals for supplying goods to Boko Haram insurgents in Borno State. The convicts are Shehu Bukar, Hamzat Yahuza, Hamatu Modu, and Isah Ali, all found guilty on charges related to aiding terrorism.

Justice Binta Nyako sentenced Shehu Bukar to 20 years in prison after he pleaded guilty to selling goats to insurgents. In a separate ruling, Hamzat Yahuza received a 7-year sentence for supplying Indian hemp and cigarettes, with his term to begin from the date of his arrest.

Hamatu Modu was sentenced to 40 years in prison on four counts of supplying food and information to terrorists, with the sentences to run concurrently.

Isah Ali was handed a 10-year jail term for similar offences, with time already spent in detention to be deducted. Justice Nyako also ordered that all convicts undergo rehabilitation and deradicalisation programmes after serving their sentences.
