Fuji musician, Alhaji Akorede Saheed Okunola, popularly known as Saheed Osupa, has generated widespread reactions after speaking on the role of traditional practices in his rise to fame. The comments were made during the 52nd onstage celebration of veteran Nollywood actor, Alhaji Fatai Odua, also known as Lalude.
In a video from the event that has circulated widely online, Saheed Osupa was seen directing members of his band to apply a traditional charm, which he described as a means of enhancing mental alertness. He also expressed the view that such practices can be beneficial to personal development and, in some cases, more effective than conventional medical treatment.
The 55-year-old musician explained that his use of traditional methods is not intended for harmful purposes but as support for his career and well-being. He also referenced his reverence for Ifa, describing it as a significant influence in his life and personal growth.
