Tegbe Promises Power Sector Reform, Vows to End Grid Collapse

Power sector expert and businessman Joseph Tegbe says he can end recurring national grid collapses within 100 days through reforms targeting Nigeria’s electricity infrastructure and management systems. Tegbe made the remarks during his screening by the Senate for the position of Minister of Power.

He said persistent grid failures were linked to weak infrastructure, operational inefficiencies and poor coordination within the power sector. According to him, reforms must focus on transmission upgrades, maintenance systems and accountability among operators.
