The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening security enforcement and judicial processes across the nation’s airports through a high-level stakeholders’ engagement on arrest, prosecution, and judicial administration within the aviation sector.
The engagement, themed “Strengthening Arrest, Prosecution and Judicial Administration Within the Airport Environment,” brought together legal professionals, security agencies, prosecutors, and other key stakeholders to deliberate on strategies for improving justice administration and regulatory enforcement across airport facilities.
Representing the Managing Director of FAAN, Mrs Olubunmi Kuku, the Director of Aviation Security Services, ACP Afegbai Albert Igbafe, stressed the critical role of effective law enforcement and interagency collaboration in safeguarding airport infrastructure and maintaining public confidence in Nigeria’s aviation system. He stated that the airport environment must continue to reflect order, safety, discipline, and strict compliance with established regulations.
