Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has condemned the United States for its continuing support for Israel’s war on Gaza, urging the international community to stop supplying weapons to Israel.

In his first address to the 193-member General Assembly since Israel launched the assault last October in response to an attack by the Palestinian group Hamas, he said “this madness cannot continue. The entire world is responsible for what is happening to our people.”
