The abducted Rivers State governorship candidate of the National Rescue Movement, NRM, in the 2023 general election, Mr. Sobomabo Jackrich, has regained his freedom.
He was taken by gunmen who invaded his home in Usokun community in the Degema Local Government Area of the state in the early hours of Monday.

Two of his aides were killed and their bodies taken away along with Mr. Jackrich.
On Tuesday, Mr. Jackrich’s family and his party addressed a media briefing, demanding his immediate release.
