The lawmaker representing Kiru/Bebeji Federal Constituency, Abdulmumin Jibrin, has rejoined the All Progressives Congress, APC, and pledged full support for President Bola Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid.
Mr. Jibrin announced his return during a political gathering in his hometown, Kofa, Bebeji, Kano State, saying his supporters had unanimously resolved to abandon the New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP, and the Kwankwasiyya Movement.
His defection comes two months after being expelled from the NNPP over alleged anti-party activities. Mr. Jibrin described his expulsion as ‘unjustified’ but accepted it in good faith.
