Governor Alex Otti has directed that every community in Abia State be connected to internet services within the next nine months.
The directive was issued at the launch of the Abia State Dedicated Internet Access, Wide Area, and Managed Network project, an initiative designed to enhance digital governance. The project, undertaken in partnership with technology firm IPNX, aims to improve government efficiency by equipping civil servants with the tools to work more effectively.

Speaking at the event, the State Head of Service, Benson Ojeikere, expressed gratitude to the governor for the initiative, pledging that the civil service would respond with increased productivity.
The initiative forms part of the administration’s broader strategy to modernise governance, enhance service delivery, and ensure that all communities in the state benefit from reliable digital infrastructure.
