The Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) has declared its intention to support northerners vying for the presidency and other offices in the 2027 elections. The decision, aimed at addressing the region’s challenges, was announced at the Forum’s National Executive Council meeting in Kaduna State.
The ACF expressed concern over the worsening economic situation in northern Nigeria, attributing it to what it described as poor socio-economic policies of the Bola Tinubu administration.
In a communiqué issued by its National Publicity Secretary, Professor Tukur Muhammad-Baba, the ACF criticised the Tinubu-led administration’s leadership selection process. It claimed that the process is flawed and allows individuals lacking competence or experience to occupy key positions of authority.
