The Arewa Consultative Forum has reaffirmed its non-partisan position ahead of the 2027 elections, stressing that while its members may hold individual political views, the Forum will not align with any political party.
Speaking at the 78th National Executive Committee meeting in Kaduna, ACF Chairman, Mamman Osuman, said the Forum will continue to work with groups that share its objectives. He emphasised that the organisation will remain vigilant against what he described as political treachery, insecurity, and environmental challenges confronting the North.

Osuman noted that the region has continued to grapple with terrorism, banditry, and flooding, which have claimed many lives. He urged northern leaders and citizens to remain united and guard against complacency and misinformation.
The remarks follow recent claims by the Forum that the North has been marginalised in federal budget allocations and infrastructure development under President Bola Tinubu’s administration, despite the region’s strong electoral support in 2023.
