Actor Timini Egbuson mourns father’s death

Nigerian actor Timini Egbuson has spoken about the death of his father, Samuel Oyindobra Egbuson, describing it as a deeply painful loss. He announced the passing in January and reflected on the shock during a recent interview.

Egbuson, 38, and brother of actress Dakore Egbuson-Akande, said the news plunged him into an intense grief he had never experienced before. He revealed that despite his father’s illness, the family had remained hopeful, making the loss even more difficult to accept.

The actor also spoke of their previously strained relationship and regret that he had not spent more time with his father in the past year due to a demanding work schedule. He said one of his key intentions for 2026 had been to repair their bond, a plan now rendered impossible by his father’s death.

Egbuson added that returning to work immediately after the loss was particularly challenging. He is currently promoting a new movie and creating content while coming to terms with his grief and reflecting on missed opportunities with his father.
