Nigerian singer Adekunle Gold has said his wife, Simi, and their daughter, Adejare, remain the focus of his life, stressing that family means more to him than fame. Speaking on the NotJustOk podcast, he said he could live with being an unsuccessful musician but not a failed husband or father.
Adekunle Gold explained that one of his life’s goals is to give his daughter a better upbringing than he had, a sentiment reflected in his song ‘My Love Is The Same’.

He said the track was inspired by his desire to create a happier, more secure life for his family, adding that every decision he makes is guided by love, responsibility, and a determination to be the best father he can be.
