Super Eagles winger Ademola Lookman has been named the 2024 CAF Men’s ‘Player of the Year.’ The 27-year-old received the prestigious award during a gala held in Marrakesh, Morocco, on Monday.
Lookman topped the voting, beating Achraf Hakimi, Simon Adingra, Ronwen Williams, and Serhou Guirassy to clinch Africa’s most coveted individual football prize. He follows in the footsteps of fellow Nigerian Victor Osimhen, who won the award in 2023.
