Ademola Lookman has been ruled out of Atalanta’s upcoming UEFA Champions League match against Barcelona due to a knee injury. The Nigerian winger sustained the injury during Atalanta’s Serie A match against Como last weekend and is expected to be sidelined for several weeks.
Further tests will determine the exact length of Lookman’s absence, with a return date yet to be confirmed. His injury will come as a blow to the Italian club, as Lookman has been in strong form this season, netting four goals and providing two assists in six Champions League appearances.

Lookman was on target in Atalanta’s 5-0 win over Sturm Graz last week, continuing his impressive run in Europe. However, he will miss the crucial clash at the Nou Camp on Wednesday when Atalanta face Barcelona in their next group-stage fixture.
Atalanta will now have to rely on other players to fill the void left by Lookman as they aim to secure a vital result away to the Spanish giants.
