Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal, has said that a recent military airstrike in the North-Western state, which resulted in civilian casualties, was unintentional.

Speaking during an interview monitored by Radio Now’s Newsdesk, Governor Lawal revealed he was aware of the military operation prior to the incident. He also said that he had personally requested Air Force intervention to target bandits attacking the area.
