Akwa United brought an end to their eight-match winless streak with a 2-1 triumph over Enyimba at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo on Sunday.
Jacob Ogunleye put the hosts ahead in the 26th minute, but Enyimba responded six minutes before half-time through Issah Mohammed’s equaliser. However, Uche Sabastine struck 15 minutes from time to secure all three points for Akwa United.

Meanwhile, Rivers United edged past Lobi Stars with a narrow 1-0 victory at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt.
