Nigeria’s Super Falcons booked their place in the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations final with a dramatic 2–1 win over holders South Africa in Casablanca.
Rasheedat Ajibade put Nigeria ahead just before the break, converting from the spot after a handball in the box. South Africa levelled on the hour through Linda Motlhalo, also from the spot, after Hildah Magaia was brought down.

But in added time, Michelle Alozie’s speculative cross from deep bounced awkwardly and somehow crept past goalkeeper Andile Dlamini, handing Nigeria victory.
South Africa had rallied well after a poor start, but injuries and tactical adjustments saw them struggle in attack. Tiisetso Makhubela’s early injury disrupted the defence, while substitute Gabriela Salgado later suffered a head knock.
The Super Falcons now await the winner of Morocco versus Ghana for Saturday’s final in Rabat.
