Amaechi joins protest at n’assembly over real-time transmission of election results

Before the start of the session at 12:30 pm, a former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, and his first son were at the National Assembly to protest against the Senate’s rejection of real-time transmission of election results.

Amaechi, who, like Obi, is a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to join the protest, said leaders should be at the forefront of major protests and should be willing to involve their families.

The former Governor of Rivers State implored Nigerians to resist the Senate, urging all opposition parties to join the protest.

Amaechi alleged that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) is opposed tothe electronic transmission of election results because it fears losing elections.
