Anambra Lawmaker's Vehicle Recovered Amid Ongoing Kidnap Investigation

The Anambra State Police Command has recovered the vehicle of Justice Azuka, the legislator representing Onitsha North Constituency in the Anambra State House of Assembly, who was abducted earlier this week.  

Justice Azuka was seized by unidentified gunmen on Tuesday night along Ugwunapampa Road in Inland Town, Onitsha, while traveling home for the Christmas holidays.

In a statement released on Thursday, the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Superintendent of Police Tochukwu Ikenga, confirmed that officers from the Inland Town Division located the lawmaker’s abandoned vehicle as part of an active rescue operation.  

Mr. Azuka’s whereabouts remain unknown, and his abductors have yet to establish contact with his family. Authorities have assured the public that efforts to secure his safe release are ongoing.
