Joint security forces in Anambra State, led by Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s Operation Udo Ga-Achi, have carried out a major raid on a suspected hideout of gunmen and kidnappers in Enugwu-Agidi, Njikoka Local Government Area. The operation, which took place around 1 a.m., resulted in many of the criminals fleeing with injuries as the security forces overran their base.
During the raid, the security operatives recovered a large cache of weapons, including two AK-47 rifles, eight pump-action guns, four locally-made pistols, 101 rounds of ammunition, and various other items such as cutlasses, a Baofeng radio, and several charms. The operation, based on intelligence reports, involved a coordinated effort between the police, Department of State Services (DSS), military, and other security agencies.

Although Anambra Police spokesman Tochukwu Ikenga has not yet provided an official update, the state government confirmed the raid through Governor Soludo’s Press Secretary, highlighting the success of the state’s comprehensive security strategy.
