Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and top officials of the All Progressives Congress have expressed confidence in the party’s chances of winning all 20 Local Government Areas and 37 LCDAs in Lagos State.
At a rally in Lagos Island, Governor Sanwo-Olu—represented by his deputy, Dr Obafemi Hamzat—called on residents to turn out in large numbers and vote for APC candidates to sustain ongoing grassroots development.

He said the local polls were essential to consolidating gains in infrastructure, education, and health, and described the APC as the only party delivering progress at both federal and state levels.
APC state chairman, Cornelius Ojelabi, also urged supporters to collect their voter cards and mobilise widely. He credited President Tinubu with expanding grassroots governance and insisted the new council leadership would outperform their predecessors.
The Local Government Elections are scheduled for Saturday, July 12.
