Ondo State Governor Lucky Ayedatiwa has announced that all 23 All Progressives Congress governors are backing Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s bid for a second term in Ekiti State.
Speaking at a statewide endorsement rally, Governor Ayedatiwa praised Oyebanji’s leadership and development record over the past three years, calling for continuity. Senate Leader Opeyemi Bamidele described the 2026 governorship race as “payback time” for Oyebanji’s unifying leadership.

Both warned voters to reject overtures from opposition groups, especially those linked to the African Democratic Congress, branding them as destabilising forces.
At the event, key figures from the PDP and SDP defected to the APC. Oyebanji, who confirmed his re-election bid, cited over 300 endorsements and urged voters to obtain their PVCs ahead of the 2027 polls.
