Governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, met privately in Abuja on Wednesday, as internal party consultations intensified ahead of Thursday’s National Executive Committee meeting.
The gathering, hosted by Imo State Governor and APC Governors Forum Chairman, Hope Uzodimma, drew several governors including Babagana Zulum, Inuwa Yahaya, and AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.

Though no official agenda was disclosed, the meeting is believed to centre on the selection of a substantive National Chairman, following the resignation of Abdullahi Ganduje in June due to health concerns.
Acting Chairman Ali Bukar Dalori is expected to present updates on party e-registration and pending congresses.
Meanwhile, lobbying over the chairmanship continues, with some backing a North-West candidate, while others insist the role should return to the North-Central zone to restore regional balance within the party’s leadership structure.
