Arab and Muslim leaders have gathered in Doha for an emergency summit of the Arab League and Organisation of Islamic Cooperation after Israel’s recent attack on Qatar.
Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani opened the summit with sharp criticism of Israel, saying Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s regional ambitions were a “dangerous illusion”.

The strikes last week killed five Hamas members and a Qatari security officer, fuelling anger across the region as leaders discussed a draft resolution proposing concrete measures against Israel.
Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian urged Muslim nations to sever ties with Israel, while Pakistan’s foreign minister called for a clear roadmap and stronger collective action by Arab and Islamic states.
