The Nigerian Army says its troops have arrested several terror suspects, recovered arms, and secured the surrender of insurgents in operations across multiple regions between 7 and 9 October.
A joint operation by 2 Brigade troops and Department of State Services operatives in Akwa Ibom led to the arrest of Emmanuel Akpan, a notorious kidnap kingpin operating along the Oron–Ibaka axis. In Borno, soldiers captured an ISWAP operative who allegedly served as a logistics courier between Chad and Niger.

Troops in Kaduna intercepted two suspects transporting over 1,300 rounds of ammunition, while others in Niger State received three surrendering insurgents. Additional raids in Borno and the South-South disrupted terrorist and oil theft networks as the Army reaffirmed its commitment to national security and stability.
