Nigeria forward Asisat Oshoala has completed a move to Saudi Women’s Premier League side Al-Hilal from Bay FC in the United States. The 30-year-old signed a two-year contract, though terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Oshoala joined Bay FC ahead of its inaugural season in 2024, having previously played for Barcelona where she won two Women’s Champions League titles. She scored seven goals in her debut campaign for the San Francisco club, including its first-ever franchise goal.

The six-time African Women’s Player of the Year was part of Nigeria’s Super Falcons squad that clinched a 10th Africa Cup of Nations title in 2023. She was also the first African woman to be nominated for the prestigious Ballon d’Or award, losing out in 2022 to Spain’s Alexia Putellas.
Oshoala now joins fellow Nigerians Ashleigh Plumptre and Francisca Ordega at Al-Hilal. Bay FC’s sporting director Matt Patter praised her professionalism and impact, calling her an important part of the club’s early history.
