Nigerian footballer, Asisat Oshoala, has presented her CAF award to President Bola Tinubu and First Lady Oluremi Tinubu in Lagos.
She won the African Women Footballer of the Year, an annual award for Africa’s best female football player, in December, a record sixth time.
Asisat said the presentation was in recognition of the support of the first couple towards her successful outing in the year.

Speaking on the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) coming up in January 2024, Asisat said she expected nothing short of total victory for the Eagles. The 34th edition of the biggest sports event on African soil will take place from January 13 to February 11, 2024 in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire.
Asisat, widely regarded as one of the greatest African female footballers of all time and one of the best in the world, is one of the most celebrated African female footballers of all time.
