At least 53 people, including two babies, are dead or missing after a rubber boat carrying refugees and migrants capsized off the coast of Libya, according to the International Organisation for Migration.
The IOM said the vessel, which was carrying 55 people, overturned north of the coastal city of Zuwara in northwestern Libya on February the 6th, after departing from Zawia late the previous night.
Two survivors were given emergency medical care after disembarkation, the agency said, adding that those on board were refugees and migrants from African countries.
