Former Watford boss Giuseppe Sannino says Atalanta should move past Ademola Lookman’s transfer dispute and bring him back into the squad.
The Nigerian forward, who asked to leave after Inter Milan’s failed bids, even went on strike before returning to training. Despite his comeback, he was excluded from Atalanta’s opening Serie A match – a 1-1 draw with Pisa.

Sannino believes the club should not hold the summer saga against Lookman, who remains one of their most decisive players. The Africa Footballer of the Year scored 20 goals last season and delivered Atalanta’s first European trophy with a Europa League final hat-trick.
Lookman’s future is uncertain, with Premier League clubs reportedly interested, but Atalanta have made it clear he will not be sold cheaply.
