Former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar has accused President Bola Tinubu of meddling in opposition politics to deflect attention from his government’s failures. He said Tinubu’s remarks at the APC’s NEC meeting were aimed at destabilising the ADC coalition.
Atiku alleged that the presidency is sponsoring divisions within opposition parties using public funds and state institutions to weaken alternative voices. He also criticised Tinubu for ignoring governance and focusing on re-election plans for 2027.

He warned that despite the presidency’s efforts to break the opposition, the coalition remains united and stronger than ever, claiming Tinubu fears being voted out in the next election.
