Atiku Urges Tinubu to Act Swiftly Over Fresh Killings

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to focus on addressing the country’s worsening security situation following a new wave of attacks across several states. He urged the President to rise to the demands of leadership and confront the challenges directly.

Atiku’s remarks come after the President’s recent visit to Jos, Plateau State, where he met with families affected by the Angwan Rukuba attack. During that visit, the President assured victims that such an incident would not happen again.

However, within days of that assurance, fresh attacks were reported in Plateau, with violence spreading to Kaduna, Katsina, Benue and Nasarawa states. The renewed killings have raised concerns about the effectiveness of current security measures.

Reacting to the situation, Atiku urged the President to move beyond statements and take decisive action to protect lives and property. He also expressed sympathy to families affected by the attacks and called for urgent steps to restore safety in the affected communities.
