Bandits have abducted 25 students from the Government Girls Comprehensive Senior Secondary School in Maga, Danko Wasagu Local Government Area of Kebbi State. The gunmen stormed the school on Sunday night and operated without resistance, shooting the Vice Principal, Malam Hassan Makuku, before seizing several schoolgirls.
Witnesses said the attackers caused widespread panic as they moved through the school, with Makuku reportedly killed while trying to protect the students. Community members have been mourning his death, offering prayers for his soul and condolence to his family.

The Kebbi State Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Nafiu Abubakar, confirmed the abduction and said an investigation was under way. The Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Ahmed Idris, announced that the Deputy Governor, Senator Umar Tafida, had been dispatched to the school to assess the situation on behalf of Governor Nasir Idris, who is currently out of the state.
