At least three people are feared dead and several others injured after bandits attacked Jikamshi town in Musawa Local Government Area of Katsina State on Tuesday evening.
Residents say the attack began at about 6:10 pm and lasted for more than an hour as people were preparing to break their fast. Witnesses say the gunmen fired indiscriminately, forcing many residents to flee for safety.
Some of the injured were taken to the hospital for treatment, while the attackers were also reported to have broken into shops and looted goods worth millions of naira.

Police authorities in Katsina are yet to comment on the incident.
