In Niger State, no fewer than 23 communities within the Kontagora Local Government Area have been forced to flee due to escalating attacks by armed bandits.
Abdullahi Isah, the representative for Kontagora II in the State House of Assembly, revealed this urgent situation during a plenary session on Tuesday. In his motion, Isah highlighted the severe impact on these communities, which have been left deserted as residents escape the violence.
In response, the State Assembly has urged the government to collaborate closely with military authorities to intensify operations aimed at restoring security and enabling displaced residents to return safely to their homes.
