Belgium-Sweden Euro Qualifier Suspended After Killings

The Euro 2024 qualifier between Belgium and Sweden was abandoned at half-time after an attack in Brussels left two Swedish nationals dead.

Belgian police had told fans to stay in the arena for security reasons, and the UEFA website said the match had been halted with the score at 1-1.

UEFA reports that the decision to suspend the match was taken after consultation with the two teams and the local police authorities.
