Super Eagles forward, Victor Boniface, was in action as Bayer Leverkusen began their Champions League campaign on a strong note, beating Feyenoord 4-0 on Thursday.
Up until his substitution in the 63rd minute, he gave a good account of himself in his first Champions’ League appearance. His Nigerian compatriot, Nathan Tella, was on the bench for the entire 90 minutes of the game.
The match began on a sour note for Feyenoord as they went a goal down in the fifth minute. A midfield error by Ramiz Zerrouki was converted to a goal by Leverkusen’s Florian Wirtz, who hit it low and hard into the bottom corner.

The third goal came from a counter attack, and the fourth from poor goalkeeping by Feyenoord’s Timon Wellenreuther..
